With the blessings of Baba and Swamiji’s, Sri Sai Spiritual Center (SSSC) inaugurated its third Shirdi Sai Mandir and this time, in the village of Poyyamani, Tamil Nadu during the month of Jyeshta (June).
Poyyamani is the birthplace of H.H Radhakrishna Swamiji and is located in Kulithali taluk, very close to the major city of Trichy. Swamiji spend his early years at Poyyamani and during this time had several divine interventions such as His meeting with goddess Kamakshi or embracing the Shiva linga when he was upset.\nDuring his later life Swamiji chose not to speak too much about his birthplace with his devotees since He had renounced all worldly attachment when he met Narashima Swamiji and decided to surrender himself to Baba and his prachar work but his devotees wanted to pay a tribute to their Guru and this led to the construction of the temple at Poyyamani.\nSwamiji’s ancestral home where he was born has been fully renovated and preserved as a ‘heritage’ site and several pictures of Swamiji’s participation at major Sai prachar events are on display to help the newer generation of Sai devotees visualize the life of Swamiji.

The Prana Prathishtapana of Sri Sai Baba, H.H Narasimha Swamiji and H.H Radhakrishna Swamiji followed by the kumbhabhisheka to the idols and gopuram were performed at this new mandir on a very grand scale with over 5000 devotees attending the event and welcoming this new monument to their community.\nH.H Sri Sri Vidya Shankars Saraswathi Swamigal of Sri Vidhya Narasimha Ashram, Nerur graced the occasion and Gurubaktha Siromani S Kalyanasundara Sivacharya, Principal, Kumbakonam Agama Patasala performed the pooja, homam and kumbhabhisheka rituals.

Following on the tradition of Swamiji’s guidance, and as followed at the other centers in Thyagarajanagar and Vasanthapura this new mandir in Poyyamani will perform all the 4 aartis of Sai Baba and also support various charity and community activities that will benefit the Saibandhus in the larger Trichy area.
